This summer Perm became a venue for a bright and large-scale event – the festival “Monument ART”. From June to August, talented artists from all over Russia create murals on the facades of Perm buildings, turning the city into an open-air gallery. The special feature of the event is the folklore and traditions of the city of Perm, in particular ethnic ones.

As part of the festival, monumental construction objects become canvases, and the urban space becomes a place for installation and an exhibition area.
In addition to creating murals, lectures, master classes and meetings with invited artists are planned. The purpose of these events is to get acquainted with the work of artists, their views on modern street art, as well as to analyze the completed sketches.

In July, a children's coloring festival “MONUMENT ART Children” was held for young residents of the city of Perm. The kids painted the fence using sprays, brushes and rollers, and also created together with the artist-curators and pumped up their creative potential.
